Wedding Favors for 10 Guests for $15 or Less

Materials

– Extra-small pots, like terra-cotta pots
– A plant to propagate from or variety of small plants
– Small jars (if propagating)
– Dirt
– Stamps
– Ink pad

Instructions

1. If propagating a plant (pothos are easy targets!) then start by making clippings from the plant.

2. Place clippings in small jars with water and let them grow roots.

3. Start by stamping each pot with the couples initials, a cute design or even the wedding date.

4. Add a small amount of dirt to each pot.

5. Add the rooted propagated plant or other small plant to the pot.

6. Water all of the plants.

7. Give them out to wedding guests so they can watch your love grow!

DIY Etched Glassware

Materials

Latex gloves
Glassware for etching
Isopropyl alcohol
Stencils
Painters tape
Etching Cream
Painting Sponge
Sticky Foam paper or sticky contact paper (for custom stencils)

Instructions

*Wear latex gloves to protect your skin from the etching cream, avoid getting it onto skin or in your eyes.

1. Take the glassware you want to etch and thoroughly clean the surface you plan on etching with isopropyl alcohol.

2. Once clean, place the stencils you want to etch onto the surface and adhere it so it doesn’t move.

3. Next, cover all parts of the glass you do not want to etch with painters tape.

4. Using the painting sponge, dab and brush the etching cream thickly over the stencil and let sit for 5 minutes.

5. Rinse off the etching cream with warm water after the 5 minutes are up. Remove the tape and stencil.

6. The etching should be permanent and dishwasher safe!

Wedding Centerpieces

NAUTICAL

What you’ll need:

• 2 vases
• Decorative nautical rope
• 4 small cleats
• Decorative fishing net
• Seashells
• Flowers (faux or real)
• Adhesives: glue dots + hot glue

Instructions:

1. Grab a vase and put a glue dot at the base.
2. Tightly wrap rope around the vase, leaving about 3” at the top. Glue the top end.
3. Hot-glue cleats to either side of the vase.
4. Repeat with the second vase.
5. Take the decorative fishing net and hang it on the cleats.
6. Attach seashells or other decorative accents.
7. Finish by putting real or faux flowers in the vases.

FAUX FRUIT

What you’ll need:

• Faux (or real) oranges
• Floral foam cones
• 1 pack floral picks
• Real or fake branches with leaves. We suggest eucalyptus and orange branches.

Instructions:

1. Poke the back of a floral pick into an orange and poke the other end into the foam cone. Starting at the base, work your way up.
2. Hot-glue leaves and branches between the oranges.
3. Form a circular bed of branches around the base.

BRANCH TOWER

What you’ll need:

• 3 pretty branches
• Wired twine
• Fake or real air plants
• Spanish moss

Instructions:

1. Tie the tops of the branches together with wired twine.
2. Adorn with moss.
3. Add air plants.
